Ice Cake

When it's really cold outside you can make an ice cake. Take a cake mould and fill it with water, than let the pan stand outside over night so the water will freeze solid. In the morning turn the cake mould upside down so the ice will drop out of the mould. Now remove the mould and put a small candle in the center of the ice cake and ignite it.

Green Crochet Bus

I found a crochet tutorial on this website. A crochet bus...amazing. I have to do it, now! My bus is getting green because I had no other color in my inventory that I liked. I used cotton wool to crochet this tiny bus.

Re-used Sweater

I had separated out some of my clothes. I found two sweat jackets that were unfrequenty worn and they still look as good as new. So I cut the jackets into pieces and sewed a hoddie sweater for a girl.

Only for me

When it's getting cold, I love to sit on the couch and knit or crochet little things. I sewed some bags to store my wool away. The little bag is for my needles, scissors and my measuring tape. In the bigger bag I store my pullover which I have started some time ago.

Both patterns are from farbenmix: Herz & Alles Dabei

Purse for little things

I sewed a purse for bric-a-brac. You don't need such a purse, but it's always good to have one (..or two, three...) I like these little items, cause there are wonderful presents.

The pattern from farbenmix is called "Patience"

As a little gift I sewed some dice filled with foam. I used colorful scaps of fabric. And the most important feature: babys don't get hurt while playing with this soft cubes.

I plan to sew some more of these play dice for Christmas.

Do you remember the dragon? There was a little crocodile that belonged to the bigger one. Now the little knight wanted the little crocrodile to have wings too. The little crocodile grew up and became a dragon with wings.

Schnabelinas Sew-Along

Schnabelina started a sew-along on 23rd of September on her Website .
I'm about to sew along with her but since I have missed the start I'm still trying to catch up with her.
It started with the pattern I had to print out, cut out and solve the puzzle ;o)
The pattern I used is the small version but a medium and big version is also available.
My next decision: What kind of fabric to use? I have dicided to use blue satin fabric and turqouise brocade fabric.
Here you can see my handmade piping for the outer pockets.
The tutorial on schnabelinas website is very easy to understand. I sewed my first piping but at the end the result convinced me.
The outer pockets were easy for me, because they were not the first zipper pockets I have sewed.
Now I have added the outer pockets, the handle and the deco patches to the main body of the bag.

My next step is sewing the inner bag... So back to work!

...and Bracelets...again

Sometimes I do little things for friends and family, just as these bracelets. They are small gifts which can bring a smile onto your face :-)
